Orthopaedics

Orthopaedics deals with diagnoses and therapies for all diseases of the locomotor system and the brace, such as:

  • joint diseases and problems: shoulder, hip, knee, elbow, etc.
  • torn muscle, torn ligament or tendon rupture
  • spine problems and twists
  • invertebral discs problems, lumbago
  • feet and course problems
  • fractures and osteoporosis
  • tissue tumour or bone metastases

On the one hand Orthopaedics requires often operative measures: factures can be fixed or prostheses inserted for example. On the other hand physiotherapy, massages, physical exercises play a major part. Orthopaedics during childhood is important to prevent long-term damages of skeleton and posture problems.

The aim of orthopaedics is always to prevent operations by suitable measures.
