Psychiatry

The task of clinical psychiatry is to assess the mental condition and determining a need for treatment. It deals with disorders of soul and spirit of a person. This can have psychological origins, which are caused by current events, emotional conflicts and interpersonal tensions. Physical causes are, for example, mutations in brain metabolism and brain substance.

Diseased mutations and disturbances of feelings, thoughts, moods, memory, experiences and behavior are examined and treated. Common symptoms are: anxiety, depression, obsessive thoughts, cognitive impairment, physical complaints, sexual dysfunction and disorders of memory and concentration.
